Ray Comas
It's never too early to embark upon a bright career.
Ray was born in La Habana, Cuba. Coming from a family of engineers and economists, Ray began to stand out very quickly in mathematics and science. But he found his real passion at the age of twelve, when he sat in front of a computer for the first time and saw just what a computer program could do.
Besides his interest in software architecture, music has always been part of Ray’s life. As a high school student, after teaching himself the basics of guitar, he and his friends loved spending their free time in impromptu jam sessions in “El Malecon de La Habana”.
In 1995, Ray graduated as an Automation Engineer and then proceeded to attain a Masters degree in Applied Computing. Since then, Ray has dedicated his professional life to studying technology and creating software solutions for different industries. In 1998, he was chosen to be part of the Y2K International Experts Group, to help resolve critical issues in banking and aviation applications. For the next five years Ray would actively participate in multiple medium to large scale projects for banking, retail, telecommunication, and manufacturing industries. He worked directly with Microsoft Specialists and recieved professional training in different areas such as MS SQL Server, Biztalk, MSF, ASP.NET, web services, and Microsoft Commerce.
In 2005, Ray opened his own consulting firm, CSW Solutions, in Chicago with his friend and business partner Yoel, obtaining the title of Microsoft Certified Partners in a short period of time.
Even though Ray hasn't played the guitar for many years and his little daughter Sofia demands most of his free time, Ray and his wife Paula love entertaining their friends with traditional Cuban recipes and drinks!
